To start I just need the hardware to be recognized as touchpad, so that
in the control panel, in Mouse options, also appear on options of
Touchpad.

The touchpad works reasonably with libinput and with evdev, but it is
recognized as a mouse
I forgot to mention in previous comment, that this happens within the
hour (usually just a few minutes) of adding the server to production
loads. I can provide more information and test patches if necessary.
