My guess is that backported lspcon feature broke some machine. But since
4.10 works, we need to backport more patches to ours 4.4 Linux.

Have tested. Problem exists in 4.12-rc5 (today's build).
Problem existed in mainline kernel before 4.10.0-22, but one could build
the rtkwifi-new package agianst it using nonfree drivers as a workaround
- that doesn't build properly against -22.
Hvae rolled back to 4.10.0-21 and it seems to work.

I discussed the multipath-tools dependency in the context of Debian.
But for multipath it really is a dependency.
The bug will soon switch to closed (wont'fix)

These are optional installs - even multipath-tools only suggests that.

Public bug reported:
Seems that xorg has a memory leak. On 28th day of uptime it consumes 13G
of virtualy memory on my PC:
PID USER PR NIVIRTRESSHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND
21516 root 20 0 13,340g 8,351g 49036 S 7,3 53,7 3387:19
Is there any hope of a fix in a supported kernel?
