Title:
  RTL wifi module drops connection

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
have to manually rmmod and modprobe rtl8821ae

no messages in dmesg or any logile I can find

Even when connected system drops ~1% of packets. Usable but not ideal

  in 4.10.0-21 I could use https://github.com/lwfinger/rtlwifi_new which
significantly reduced errors (from once in 5 minutes to once in 5
hours, more or less), but on 4.10.0-22 when trying to add the module
  to the kernel dmesg reports
