I have in my hands a slightly different Asus E205SA. This one comes with an
Elan Touchpad.
On the outside it looks exactly the same.
The other E205SA with the malfunctioning touchpad, has vendor id "0b05", which

Just did fresh install of ubuntu desktop 16.04. after trying unity,
installed ubuntu-gnome-desktop and rebooted to login with gdm and gnome

got now 3 UT devices in my household, and it is really confusing to not
being able to use a different name in the Bluetooth setup to distinguish
devices from each other.
I remember during device setup that I have entered a name for the
device, why can´t this be used?

I've made another test on a Dell 1545 with an Intel GM45 chipset. This notebook

Can you provide some information on the status of the patch with regards
to getting it merged upstream? Has it been sent upstream, what sort of
feedback has it received, is it getting applied to a subsystem
maintainer's tree, etc?
