Dimitri -Dunno, haven't checked. Right now spl/zfs has some function
prototype issues with Linux 4.4 that affect all architectures. I won't

I grabbed kernel 4.4.0-040400rc3-generic as it shows as the latest. I
installed it and get the same messages in the dmesg log. I do note that
the fans are not running so fast. I have been having problems where it
will overheat and shut down. Never had that problem with 15.04 or
earlie
I don't think the debs have been created correctly. The debs that have
been created don't seem to have the ppc64 LE config which normally end
with *_ppc64el.deb

It hasn't worked on the MBP 12,1 on any of the 4.x kernels, and I'm
pretty sure it didn't work on 3.x either.

Well, it's been ~24 hours since I started using kernel"4.4-rc2+cod1".
My notebook was kept "on" for over 16 of these 24 hours: 8h yesterday +
8h today. So far, no subtle poweroff happened. I restarted the system a
couple of times, today and yesterday, and I also powered off the
notebook. No issues
This bug is missing log files that will aid in diagnosing the problem.
