I experience this at least once per day on a Ubuntu 14.04-installation
with LTS hardware enablement upgrade to kernel 3.16 (and newer Xorg
components). Typically, full screen video playback will suddenly freeze
(audio continues to play). At that point I must switch to VT 1, which

Just tried 4.0.0 , and on first try I triggered this issue. I was,
however, able to kill gnome-setting-daemon and then gnome-shell from a
terminal. This then caused the lock screen to appear and I was able to
log in. I've had this happen sometimes in the past before, so I
consider this no change
The problem is still being diagnosed on kernel bugzilla, but for the
moment, "iw reg set US" seems to be a workaround.

I'm using the BQ phone with the devel-proposed channel.
I have a peugeot car and when I pair my BQ to the car, it works good but screen

That can't be. Did you use sudo when copied? What do you call 'upstart'?
Regarding acceleration it can't be fixed now. For most of models it is OK, but
you are unlucky.

@Pilot,
Confirmed that even after copying psmouse.ko to the /kernel/drivers/...
directory, I still have to restart psmouse. This is with upstart.
I also need to re-apply my constant deceleration changes each time as well,
otherwise the default mouse speed is quite slow.

Looks fixed upstream in commit efd756daf4ddae3cec2404c4e0b680b7cfdd6a45.
This downgrades the message urgency from error to debug level.
I wouldn't expect this to show in kernels earlier than 3.19 because this
driver was added in that kernel version, see
