Cristopher, it is not only one commit in 4.0. All Mathias Gottschlag commits fix the issue for all Asus models. My patch includes them all. Unfortunately vivid uses systemd and dkms is loaded after psmouse. That's why native psmouse.ko is loaded and module needs to be restarted to use the patched one. But trusty with linux-generic-lts-vivid works perfect. This is a good workaround till next Ubuntu release. But it would be good to sort out the systemd issue.
