@Sergio, great, the new firmware won't be loaded via rebooting because
that wireless adapter is powered on via rebooting, old firmware is still
in adapter's rom and driver ignores the firmware loading step since
there is already a firmware loaded in adapter's rom.

Interestingly jme in my Shuttle XS35V2 would establish a gigabit
connection fine to a 8-port netgear switch, but not to 5-port netgear
switch. 100mbit connection works with either. It is very strange.

My first attempt with those drivers didn't work, but I'm going to try
again on a fresh install. Should I be installing them on 14.04LTS or
14.10 (does it even matter)? I'm guessing I just clone the repo,
checkout the troy branch, and then run 'make', 'make install', and
that's it?
After all i was able to get it working with kernel 3.17-rc1. It does
make noise as soon as i start/stop talking though.
I didn't noticed it before because if i plug it normaly, it wouldn't
work. I have to go straight in, and then slowly pull it out until it
picks up the external microphone, after
it seems under utopic it works fine, while under vivid it works for my
Bose SLIII but crashes for my 8XXPlantronics.

Before I sent patches with the same client with no problems.

I also have this problem with my HP Stream 11.
Happy to help out in anyway.
Basically the touchpad works, but it seems to stop working after using
the keyboard, or clicking/tapping.. yet the cursor still can move about
no matter what. Changing the settings in the system control panel does

Hi I am runing Xubuntu 14.04.1 with the same wifi card (ntel® Dual Band
Wireless-AC 7260). I have the latest bios. The problem with the unstable wifi
connection (wpa2, 2.4GHz) appears in kernels > 3.0.13-40. ie 3.0.13.40 works
well while the actual 13.0.13.44 suffers with the connection problem.

On Windows 8.1, fan is NOT loud. On Ubuntu 14.04x64, fan is always too
loud (30 minutes after boot and after). BIOS is already updated.
I was hoping it was my LCD cooling_device4, but that has current cooling
state 100 even when fan is quiet.

i tried but also nothing... i tried 3.18, 3.19 (all the rc's) but
