Thank you, but unfortunately, following this suggestion immediately locked up
the system in a kernel panic.
However, the rtl8723be seemed to work fine after a kernel update a few days
later. Perhaps there was a slight bug in the version I downloaded and the one
pushed into the Ub
Christopher, just to prevent misunderstandings, the latest upstream
kernel did not fix the problem. Are you sure it is a upstream issue? I'm
asking because I do followed the instruction on
