Lock LED is fixed, and now NumLock, which used to work (almost)
correctly, is srewed up, suffering from exactly the same issue as

When updating 14.04 to 3.13.0-12 I noticed that the openipmi service
failed to start on reboot. After running 'sudo service openipmi start',
the service would still fail to start because it failed to load the ipmi
modules.
Kernel 3.13.0-8, which was previously on the system,
Pretty sure that's it. -12 is -ENOMEM, and there are two sites in that
commit that return -ENOMEM, right when we have an error message from the
failure to spawn the SCSI error handler thread.
Note that the oops/backtrace is a red herring. There is a secondary,
unrelated bug in the mptsas code that
