Easy to reproduce:
-disconnect AC
-close the lid
- wait for suspend (5-10 seconds)
- connect and disconnect AC plug few times (2-3 times). every time led changes

- wake system from suspend
- close lid
Comment #15 suggests it's still an issue in 13.04.
How about we leave it another 7 years and see what happens?
