Hi aschne. The small desktop Xfce can do that. I too have given up any hope to
be able to use the once worlds best Desktop again, as I would have liked. Try
it with Manjaro Xfce, this is light Distrubution, or to continue

Just back from a very wet and rainy Scotland Highland (mostly indoors) week. We
all had laptops and I convinced three friends to change to KDE (Kubuntu 4.04).
