I guess only users replied here trying to help, but how could help people

4. sudo shutdown -r now (that'll reboot the machine, just in-case you don't

I found a work-around:
1. sudo apt update && sudo apt dist-upgrade (yes to all)
2. Restart (I booted to a black screen, but was able to bring up the terminal
with ctrl+alt+t).
3. sudo pkcon refresh && sudo pkc
