We always could disable that feature of showing a speaker icon on top of our
application icons. Fixing new bugs introduced with this forced icon doesn't
solve the main issue. People do not want to see the icon. It is

I updated to Plasma 6.1.4 and now if I click the header of the popup, and then
click outside of the popup, it closes as "expected".

Attached is a screenshot of my current Panel settings, which are not the
defaults.
I also tried a new user without my manually added widgets and I can reproduce
the issue.

OK a new users does not have the same issue as my normal user, if I click the

Additional info: going into configuration mode, I can indeed click the header
and then in this mode it closes the popup, but when I'm just in the normal

I can confirm that on Wayland with the focus stealing prevention set to LOW,
the taskbar stays on top too when the game starts. But there is a difference,
clicking inside the game makes the taskbar go in the background
