For now, I wrote a script ~/bin/wacom that runs xsetwacom and xrandr to
configure the tablet. I added two shortcuts to the plasma desktop for turning
tablet support on and off. This is, of course, just a workaround

Just checked, works for me too. There is still the issue that the video
sometimes freezes when changing channels, but this also happens in vlc for
certain output settings (specifically, VDPAU). But this is another

I used VLC in the meantime; trying Kaffeine now, almost none of my channels can
be tuned anymore; only a few are working. I'll have to check that first. VLC is
still working, though.

I just cloned kaffeine from Git and tried to compile, but failed with a
"Unknown CMake command "qt5_add_resources"" which I could solve by adding
"find_package(Qt5Core)" in the firs

Just noticed that vlc outputs the same line "Using G3DVL VDPAU Driver Shared
Library version 1.0 for hardware decoding" although video is set to OpenGL GLX
video output (XCB).

libdvbv5-0 is at 1.12.2 since Feb 14, according to the update log. Mind that
vlc does not experience any issues when tuning non-HD.

The problem appeared after my hardware upgrade (including a RX 480) and
operating system upgrade (openSUSE Tumbleweed). Had to go to Tumbleweed
(rolling release) because the Catalyst driver has become unavailable
