This appears to be fixed after installing Qt 5.15.4 (on Kubuntu 22.10 daily
build with plasma 5.24.90 and nvidia 510.60.02). Awesome!

I have installed Manjaro KDE (unstable since both testing and stable still use
Plasma 5.23.x). And indeed, a Wayland session worked fine:

No, sorry if I explained it wrong. Thumbnails are not being generated in either
(Icons / Compact / Details) mode.
If I open the file in Gimp though, the thumbnail seems to be generated. From

This bug manifests itself on any KDE Plasma system I have tested with both X
and Wayland with Intel and NVidia graphics.
