One thing I noticed is, when I set the Brush Mode to "Lightness Map" now (for
the transparent brush tip), the brush stroke looks weird and the transparency
seems to be ignored. Maybe worth checking.

Why? I think the cursor should always display the pen tilt correction properly
so that you know what rotation you will start with when you put the pen down.

activated, the flickering still happens, as it also happens without stabilizer

surface indeed. So when I lift the brush, the cursor flickers back to its

Zooming does not refresh the mask - neither does toggling the visibility of the
top layer or the mask layer. However toggling the base layer refreshes the
