David, from the looks of it, we only resize (expand) the image when the
incoming layers are bigger. We cannot *shrink* the image because it may be the

I solved the bug: it is a packaging error: the library
kcalendar_grantlee_plugin.so is wrongly put in

That thing on the side isn't a Plasma Panel, it's just the default Alt+Tab
visualization. :) If you don't like it, you can change it in System Settings >
Window Behavior > Task Switcher. I use "Large Icons", myself.

It is actually related to the Nvidia drivers. Removing the Nvidia drivers
