Hi,
I made few more tests on android with QtQuick Controls 2.0, and I was
surprise to see that the copy/past isn't possible. So I found the following
bug report https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-34867
Is there a chance to see that fixed in Qt5.8? because it can be a blocker
for a lot of appli
No, nmake doesn't work either.
The failing component is QtWebEngine. Removing /showIncludes from the
command-line in the
C:\Qt\qt-everywhere-opensource-src-5.8.0-alpha\qtwebengine\src\core\Debug_x64
directory where it fails gives more informative output:
C:\Qt\qt-everywhere-opensource-src-5.8.0-a

fortune/server, works like a charm.
If you want to try from your android phone, I'm leaving the server
running for you until Monday:

Server port: 42815

Indeed. I have the same wifi for my laptop(192.168.0.3) and

Hmm just guessing, but perhaps try switching your PC network from wired
to wireless (to the same Wi-Fi network that your phone is on).

Hello,
I'm trying to run fortuneServer(qt example) on my host PC and deploy
fortuneclient on the android phone. I made sure that they are in the
same network ( server : 192.168.0.3, client : 192.168.0.2) but then
client complains "connection timed out" and after some time I get

Hi all,
For a project I'm working on I need to create 3D objects whose geometry depends
on data coming from an external input line:
so, to test the whole mechanism, I'm trying to use Qt3D to spawn objects with
custom geometry inside an event triggered by a timer.
I tried using both Qt v5.6.1 and
So I started everything from scratch on a clean PC this morning using
the Qt 5.8.0-alpha source just released yesterday. I ensured
thatthere's no egl.h header on this PC. I configured as follows:
configure -opensource -confirm-license -opengl dynamic -nomake
examples -nomake tests -prefix C:\Qt\5.
