Hi,
Is there any way to make communication in a secure way using lmtp?
I would like to have postfix and cyrus on separate machines.

Hi,
Is there any way to limit the number of opened connections?
I have found only that I can:
- limit listen queue for cyrus-master
- maxchild for imap
- maxfds for imap
Is there any mapping between maximum number of fds and connections? If I
knew for example that every connection takes 5 fds, I

Dear List,
cyrus-imapd is the mail system I've been using successfully over the
last years but now I have a strange problem I cannot track down.
Probably it's a bug but I have no clue on where to start searching for
it. We use cyrus together with opengroupware.org ("ogo"). using a nice

Hello.

But this function has lack at manual access. For example the user

Hello,
If you are looking for a way to get cyrus to accept messages for

Do you mean something like https://bugzilla.andrew.cmu.edu/show_bug.cgi?id=2410";>this?
I haven't heard much from this since my last update. The patch still
works - I'm still using it with 2.2.10 (since its functionality more or
less a requirement here).

I've built new mail server and migrated over my mailboxes. When I access
my mailbox on the new machine all of the messages show up as unread.
Is there a was to preserve the message flags?

We run postfix and cyrus on separate machines. On the cyrus machine, we
use tcp-wrappers to permit lmtp connections from only

That's entirely up to the tool that did the migration. When it APPENDs

Putting private LAN (VLAN) between these two servers seems to be
simplest alternative (ie. granting physical security). Using VPN or
IPsec seems more complicated, but also usable.
And in both cases you will gain more then just LMTP security.

If you simply copy mailboxes over, than flags will be lost. The only
way to preserve them when

We are running cyrus-imapd-2.1.14 under Solaris 9. Twice recently,
a week apart, we've had an incident where mail delivery stopped,
with messages like this being logged:

Looks/sounds like a deadlock problem on a berkeleydb... db2+ have a
utility called db_deadlock -- I'm not sure but you might just need to
update/upgrade your version of berkeley though.
db_deadlock and use with cyrus I havent' tried, but that may solve your
problem.

The consensus of the private emails I've received is that some people
opt not to utilize Sieve, based upon the lack of documentation.
I find that surprising, but I've not found much to speak of yet -
