Hi,
Assuming that
* you are running linux (where your Cyrus server is installed),
* your ldap server is setup and you have user accounts in it,
* you can make ldap lookups from the machine where cyrus is setup (your
ldap.conf is properly setup)
* your cyrus server is setup and functioning and
