i tried making this _specific_ change to my cyrus code, but, to no avail ...
delivery _still_ requires the presence of:
lmtpunix : 0.0.0.0
in /etc/hosts.allow
i think i'll file this as a bug ...

delivery completes successfully!
now, cyrus IS config'd/built "--with-libwrap", so i can use tcpwrappers to

Hello,
I was wondering, what entries are needed for /etc/hosts.allow. Haven't
found anything in the manpages. I tried "master and "imapd", still no
connection was allowed (with ALL: ALL in hosts.deny). After all I was
actually quite surprised than cyrus uses those at all.
Thank you very much. It works now.

Dear Cyrus Admins,
Cyrus 2.0.16 is installed and woks. But the problem
is that it can't work when such configuration is in hosts.allow:
All : Local
pop3d: xxx.xxx.xxx.0/255.255.255.0
imapd: xxx.xxx.xxx.0/255.255.255.0
but when I change it to :
All: xxx.xxx.xxx.0/255.255.
