Try the service name as it is in /etc/cyrus.conf I also use slackware 8, but I'm using cyrus 2.1.4. pop3 and imap work for me (now that I just tried it). It uses hosts.deny/hosts.allow because your Cyrus was built with libwrap. I think you have to build it with --without-libwrap to ignore them. Jason -- Jason Englander [EMAIL PROTECTED]
