you will have to assign the cyrus imap server a password using the
passwd command.
To prevent logons to the imap account, you will have to
put deny user in the sshd_config file
with the line
DenyUsers cyrus
next make sure you are using atleast one instance of imap.

When I want to use cyradm, I have to give cyrus a password, or else I
cannont use cyradm. Is there a way around this problem?
I would really not like people to be able to ssh into the cyrus account.

mail up using port 143, but not 993.
This used to work.
I do get a message sometimes that the server has disconnected on the
client side.

I am running redhat fedora 3 at the lates update level. When I first
installed Redhat fedora 3, I used imapd -s just find.
In mozilla, I would specify port 993 and I would get loggons to my
imap server.
Now I can only get mail from port 147, which is the non ssl imap.
so imap with out ssl wo
