Hey gang,
We finally got Cyrus working but now I have to move all the email over. Is
there a special procedure if I'm using Postfix? I noticed mention with
Sendmail but if anyone has suggestions along the cyrus/potsfix route I would
really appreciate it.
Btw we have like 40 users, I would hate t

Subject: Possible perl problem?
Thanks for the input with the Berkeley problem,
Pretty much the rest of the install seemed to go okay, but when trying to
use the cyradm I have perl errors. Lets see if any of you ran into this:
>cyradm -u cyrus ms1.usishealth

I am trying to install Cyrus-imap-2.0.11.tar.gz and had a problem with the
inital ./configure, basically I got the "cyrus needs Berkeley 3.x get it at
sleepy cat blah blah" I am on a RH7.0 box and cyrus-sasl and Berkeley3 is
already installed in RPM format. So fine, I decided to compile Berkeley 3
Thanks Scot,
At least I know I'm not going crazy, there is no imap directory under spool
(like there should be) I'm actually replacing an admin that left behind no

something that I can look at to see where he might of place t
Hey gang,
I was looking for a way to move existing mail boxes
with email to a new server. I am running postfix cyrus-imap on a Freebsd
machine. I already know how to move queued items, but I am wondering where the
statoc contents of a users' mailboxes are kept server side.
Hey guys,
I was wondering if anyone knew of a tool or method for migrating Cyrus-imap
from a freebsd machine to a linux 7.0 machine. We are using postfix instead
of sendmail. I want to try to preserve the emails and mailbox structure as
much as possible. Thanks in advance.

Does the latest version of Cyrus-Imap HAVE to have
sleepy cat? I wanted to use mySQL for the database. Is there a switch to
turn off berkley during install?

The walkthrough I am using for my reinstall states
that if I want to use the PAM authentication for sasl conf that I should use the
statement
./configure --pwcheck_method=PAM
but all I get in return is
invalid option, is there a switch I don't see that
I should use to set up with Pam?
Okay, I've gotten a lot of really good input from your guys so far about my
problems, and I think I've pretty much botched this install with all my
desperate descrepency installs. I am going to do a clean reinstall of Linux
Redhat 7.0 and am going to reinstall. I am going to list my order of

Man its great to finally locate a group that can understand what I am asking
about. I've gone to a couple places seeking help and everyone kinda says,
"Why don't you use this program instead". Ugh, that bugs me, anyhow I am a
