*phew* 7 days sitting on lists2.andrew.cmu.edu. Poor little e-mail . . . I hope
you were occasionally feeding it!
Is this a moderation/approval workflow issue?

Folks,
RedHat have a great .spec file for sasl1+2 combined in their rawhide
development snapshot. You might want to check it out, I'm using it now.
How do I convince timsieved to use saslauthd? It seems to want to use sasldb.

Well, I've heard back from a few people off-list on this.
Sadly, the conclusion is that nobody's presently looking into it.

Folks,
I'm unable to get cyrus-imapd's SSL support to offer reliable service, and I
was wondering if anyone might recognize the problem. Essentially every SECOND
connection to imaps fails. My test case is fetchmail client connection to
imaps, but I see the problem with Outlook 2000 as well.

Folks,
I'm trying to deliver mail to a Cyrus mailstore using postfix's LMTP over TCP
functionality. Is there any way to get LMTP AUTH to work, or do I just have to
settle for running Cyrus's lmtpd with the "-a" flag? That results in:
Mar 19 01:01:34 mail2 lmtpd[30269]: connection from [xxx.xx.
Folks,
I wasn't able to get 2.0.12 to compile on Redhat-7 (all updates applied):

Folks,
A while back I was looking for Cyrus+Postfix best practice. See:
http://msgs.SecurePoint.com/cgi-bin/get/postfix0012/336.html
I've made some progress and am basically soliciting feedback on my approach
thus far.
In a previous life, my setup used SASL to manage both Cyrus imapd
Folks,
Using cyrus-2.0.11 and openssl-0.9.5a on RedHat-7.0, I took a stab at securing
imap traffic with SSL.
I followed the recommendations forgenerating a self-signed cert in the docs,
namely:
openssl req -new -x509 -nodes -out /var/imap/server.pem -keyout
/var/imap/server.pem -days 365

Folks,
There's clearly many ways Cyrus imapd & Postfix can be implemented, and each
seems to have its pros/cons. I'd like to solicit some advice the experienced
readers of these forums, if I may. Basically, I'm looking for a recommendation
on the "best practice" which would meet my requirements.
Folks,
I must be missing something obvious here . . . please can someone tell me
how to get Cyrus to use LDAP for all types of authentication? I'm happily
using PAM + LDAP for Cyrus authentication thanks to the following line in
/etc/imapd.conf:
sasl_pwcheck_method: pam
and it's working fine w
Folks,
I've installed 2.0.7 using RedHat's PowerTools source RPM, built locally with a
few trivial mods, outlined in a previous post to this list:

Overall, I'm very impressed. Nice work! I even managed to get LDAP
authentication to work by adding the fol

Thanks for your advice - I was not doing a 'make
(had some more time to spend on this one - replying to myself)
Okay, if I export BISON_SIMPLE=/usr/lib and run configure a few times, it seems
to pickup /usr/lib/bison.simple.
The next problem was with the location of com_err.h . . . in RedHat at least
it's within a subdir /usr/include/et/com
Trying to build 2.0.7 on RedHat-7 box, I see:
