won't they kill you for losing all their mails? :-)
how many users do you have to migrate? do they already have their
passwords on the cyrus server?
Hi everybody,
I happily use Cyrus IMAPD for quite some time now. Today I had trouble
for the first time: I saw quite some lmtp processes eating all the CPU
(the host had a load of 8.3 at that time - normally it's about 0 - 0.15
as it's still not used as planned). Postfix tried to deliver one m

Now granted, this message is SPAM, but have a look at these headers:
Return-Path:
Received: from blah ([unix socket])
by blah-b (Cyrus v2.2.12) with LMTPA;
Mon, 09 Jan 2006 15:32:49 -0500
X-Sieve: CMU Sieve 2.2
Received: from localhost (localhost.localdomain [127.0.0.1])
I found some patches at
https://bugzilla.andrew.cmu.edu/attachment.cgi?id=310&action=view
It would be nice if somebody would put them into the base code.

The problem is I already reset 5 times the users password, if I do that one
more time, they will kill me...

Maybe any way to copy the messages files from courier
Have you tried synctest?
Usage: synctest [options] hostname
-p port : port to use (default=standard port for protocol)
-k # : minimum protection layer required
-l # : max protection layer (0=none; 1=integrity; etc)
-u user : authorization name to use
-a user : authentication

If you're building Cyrus yourself then you can just patch it to add
TLS support.
I don't recall where these patches originally came from (collected
from past postings I'm told).
Once patched, cyradm takes the password as (-w secret) on the command
line, so you probably don't want to run it
We've noticed a strange pattern of load and cpu usage on our murder
master.
The machine will go a few days will minimal load and very little cpu
usage (~5%). Then for a few days load will jump to 2, and CPU usage
will jump to 40% (35% in system mode).
So the CPU usage graph looks like (AS

Outlook Express has the same problem. I suspect the "flushseenstate"
option in 2.2 or 2.3 will fix this problem for you.
