Hi folks,
Ok, Igor, Ken, you both must be growing to hate me, but I'm starting to
understand the present need for the defaultdomain paramater. I'm sorry :-)
I have a question. Lets say I have a realm "example.com" and I have the
defaultdomain paramater set to "example.com", and I also have "doma

Right. I did notice my IP's don't have PTR records. I've sent a
request to my ISP to give them PTRs.

i have installed the new cyrus on a new computer.
is this the correct procedure to migrate all info ?
1) tar the /var/spool/imap to the new locations.
2) Convert mailboxes file to Berkeley DB:
su cyrus
cd /var/imap
ctl_mboxlist -u
< mailboxes
ctl_cyrusdb
-c

I vote for the config option.
I'm always in favour of less hard coded behaviour and more configuration options (with sane defaults). :)

Use
ldap_filter: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
The current version of sasl lib splits a 'fully qualified username' to
userid and realm. I believe this is a wrong behavior because '@' is a
valid userid character and the domain part is really not a realm
identifier in such instances.
I've tried this. U

Hi list.
It would be very helpful if I could choose _only_ one from these
options. You see, with current code for virtual domains, I faced the
following frustrating situation.
Provided that I have set up two domains foo.com and bar.com in my dns
server and that I have given 2 IP addresses to my
My list posts seem to be going missing
I've tried to send 3 or more messages to the list and I'm not getting them back.. So far only one has gotten sent on the list. What's up with this?

Hmmm. This seemed to fail to get to the list last time (so I'm posting
again).

I've been beating my head against this for two days now. First with 2.1
and now with 2.2. I'm desperate for a solution.
I'm trying to setup Cyrus 2.2 to do virtual domain logins authenticating
off LDAP.

I just ran a little test with testsaslauthd (from the SASL
distribution).
I ran this command:
testsaslauthd -u [EMAIL PROTECTED] -p secret
And got:
0: OK "Success."
This is what it sent to our LDAP server:

conn=26 op=4 R
