Thanks - I already knew that, and also you can drag the message to another folder, move it back again and then purge it from both folders and it'll be okay again.   Must better than re-downloading a whole inbox again (300MB for me).   Also, this only happens when you have Headers Only synchr

Right click on the server, pick Properties. Click on the Local File tab. Pick Remove Messages button, then the Delete button, then the Compact button. (This might be overkill, but it is what we do). Then click OK and have the messages downloaded again. This seems to work every time. c* ---
