I'm fairly new to the LDAP game. I've read the list archives a bit, and
found a lot of good info. One thing that is still eluding me is the the
directory structure itself.
I am trying to set up LDAP as my backend for several services: SMTP
(Postfix), IMAP

I'm trying to compile and install Cyrus-Imapd-1.6.25 and am running into
some problems. At first I installed Berkeley db-3.2.9 before compiling
SASL and imapd, but couldn't get it to work. I then went back to db-2.7.7,
compiled and installed SASL (1.5.27) and tried to compile imapd-1.6.25,

i'm install sendmail 8.11.0 and imap 2.0.14 on suse 7.0.
it work's ok after i recompile cyradm. to start imap i
put it in /sbin/init.d/ ... S20 ... and imap is start
well at boot time, but i can't log in. the error from
netscape and mulberry is :login failed !! authentication failure
hi all - i've re-installed cyrus2.0.14 and it's now working ok. these are the
servers used.
openldap 1.2.12
pam_ldap-113
cyrus-sasl-1.5.24
cyrus-imapd-2.0.14
as philipp has suggested, i changed to openldap 1.2.x and recompiled pam_ldap. the
set is now working as expected and no more multipl
