I haven't had a chance to try 4.77 yet, but yes, I did find that 4.76

Netscape 4.7x works fine, generally. And if it works for you, that's great.
However some bad points (off the top of my head):

Yes, however today's IMAP4 *protocol* *standard* operates as I
described.
If and when a particular draft becomes an internet *standard* we
can then debate its characteristics. Internet standards based
applications are w

The IMAP4 specification is quite clear on this.
The text after "* OK" in the greeting is freeform (other than any
elements). The appearance of "IMAP4" or "IMAP4rev1"
there is meaningless when determining which version of IMAP4 is
supported.
You discover the level of IMAP4 the server supports by

Dear All,
after browsing the archives about how Netscape plays along with Cyrus
and being in need to use that setup myself, I have tried the most

to work. The only setting that needs to be altered is to uncheck "Show

Sieve only works for 'user' email addresses, thus if you want to redirect
email to an
I've been using Cyrus IMAP & Sieve for some time, (in fact
you'll find one of my sample scripts on the Sieve home page)
however I have little experience with Perl modules and the
like and wish to get websieve working.
There are two modules included that need something done
with, but nothing says
The current server greeting is:
* OK Cyrus IMAP4 server ready
Should the server greeting display IMAP4rev1 instead of IMAP4? i.e:
* OK Cyrus IMAP4rev1 server ready
The NetxAP perl modules check for and require the presence of IMAP4rev1 in the
greeting text (so it needs to be tweaked slight
Which version of imap server are you using?
Have you defined files imap and pop in /etc/pam.d ?
Your /etc/pam.d/imap and /etc/pam.d/pop should look something like this

Did you set up pam configuration file for imap? It goes under
dir /etc/pam.d on RedHat systems.
You have indicated you want to use pam & ldap combination but
you compilation option "--with-auth=unix" MAY ( I am not quite
sure) use unix's native "/etc/passwd" and "/etc/group" files

SquirrelMail works fine
I have good news. My improved directory hashing patch is ready.
It consists of two parts. The patch file itself, 285 lines, should
be applied from the top-level source directory. It's built against
cyrus-imapd-2.0.12. It simply centralizes all directory hashing
into one function: dir_hash_c().
