Yes, but not from personal experience. I only know Netscape as a
Cyrus client in "light" mode, no use of public folders and no access
to folders of other users. This is my first attempt to get it to use
the other stuff as well. What I was referring to were various
articles in the archives (Michael Salmon posted several) that gave
magic settings in the "Advanced" tab of the Imap server properties
dialog to get Netscape to work in versions <= 4.73, which than
suddenly ceased to work in 4.7[45]. It all had to do with not being
able to see the user.* hierarchy properly or not being able to access
public folders. I could not reproduce this in 4.77 (yet), hence my
posting.
One bug that I did find so far is that if you try and set "Sent" and
friends before creating them or creating them via the "new" button in
the dialog box that sets them will lead to all sorts of strange
folders ("INBOX%20Sent, for instance) being shown, but not created. I
also managed to create a "Sent" folder that existed on the server but
was not shown by Netscape, no matter what. On the other hand, starting
with a fresh prefs.js file, creating "Sent", "Drafts" and "Templates"
under "Inbox" before setting them and leaving everything but the "Show
only subscribed folders" in the "Advanced" tab alone seems to
work. Netscape seems to get the right entries for the various
namespaces "Personal:" "INBOX.", "Public:" "" and "Other Users:"
"user." and also seems to interpret them in the right way.
Best regards,
