Updating myself a bit here... I *was* able to get it to authenticate from
my ldap system (which was my main goal) but it seems a bit strange the way
its working...
Here's what the logs are saying:

got the cyradmin start problem solved - installed latest stable perl.
this appears way too often :
assertion "text->maxbuf > 0" failed: file "digestmd5.c", line 1423
Abort trap (core dumped)
for example if I just run "cyradm localhost"
and than press enter twice generates a dump in 1.3gb size

Help!
Setting up cyrus-imapd 2.0.9 for pam authentication, and everybody fails
unless they use the cyrus users's password...
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated!
