If you suspect the memory/mobo, try instead to compile some large
package. Often this results in random segmentation faults for gcc.
Faulty memory should result in crashes and segfaults and erratic
behaviour, apart from freezes.

Hi,
I have a problem with the backspace-key and screen under X: it does not
work. In the console it does work.
I have no clue at all how to fix this.
Thanks for any help in advance.

Hi,
by a stupid mistake from me I deleted a lib from openssl. I wanted to

I'm not a native English speaker, and I wonder about these Pooh jokes

anyone care to explain to me where the joke is? I'm sure it's
Hi,
In Gnome 2.14 the Gnome folks introduced a shutdown option in the
Desktop menu. Is it possible to remove this? Or at least require it to
ask for a password, etc?
My wife's desktop menu serves as a MythTV server. When she misses
the logout button by one we lose recordings. My father - in h

This is a really inane question, but you do have a dhcpd server on your
network, right?
Also, make sure you router is using wep and not wpa. If wpa, you need
to use wpa_supplicant instead.
I'd get it running without encryption first.
