I thought it was a good question Leo. I'm also wondering about the PPMC and the relationship to mentors, champions, etc. I assumed the PPMC was the proverbial fisherman's committee being taught how to manage the project of fishermen under Apache rules. For Ode, Sybase asked James and Allen to me

Even when we were thinking about the ServiceMix project, I was not thinking that using Sybase Ode with ServiceMix implied a tight binding; there was agreement to avoid tight couplings and it would go against the grain of JBI anyway. ServiceMix usage was just an example of a container using Ode. O

Noel, we do seem to be coming together in prinicipal but it might be best to achieve our "fresh start" in the practical context of Ode given the support exhibited by other folks on the submission. In Apache projects address a certain area of concern (e.g., JAXB, BPEL, CORBA etc.) but they do so in

Glad to have you with us Matthieu. I agree with a lot of your assessment; BPEL is really only part of the discussion (as being one language for describing interactions with WSDL-based constructs) while service orchestration is the larger picture. In that regard, I can understand the transaction m
