Hi Justin
Thanks for voting. I will fix [4][5][6]. But I still don’t know how to
write a notice file. I have referred to some graduated projects, such as
impala, kudu, airflow, and the notice files in their projects are very
similar to ours. Can you give an example of a notice file?

Hi Justin,
I agree, with an updated DISCLAIMER, I guess we can move forward with 0.0.2
release.
However, we have to double check that chardet is not a "direct" dependency (it
seems to come from Airflow, but I didn’t actually check yet).

We are ready to use apache official docker hub to publish the Doris Dev
Image instead of this website https://hub.docker.com/u/apachedoris.
The email thread :

On the docker hub, I saw the PPMC has already started to solve it.

And on the website, there are also other cloud companies which use the name
'Doris' directly. For example:

Doing this is a little problematic, as you are advertising a uni-voted on
release to the general public. Please see [1][2]

Hi Matt,
And that’s my point: chardet is not a direct Liminal dependency, but actually
an Airflow dependency.
So, I think that’s either Liminal can release "as it is" or Airflow should
address this dependency.

Seems like a good first step if not already done is to reach out to
airflow.

LGPL is only allowed in optional dependencies.

We can't just remove this dependency as it comes from the Airflow package
deoendencies.

Did it change about LGPL ? I’m pretty sure LGPL was cat B and GPL was cat X.
Maybe it changed (or I’m wrong).
Anyway I would cancel this vote to remove this dependency.

Hi Justin,
chardet is indeed LGPL (https://pypi.org/project/chardet/).
However, from a quick analysis it seems it is installed as Apache Airflow
project dependency.
See below the dependency analysis of this package.

pipdep
Aren't both (L)GPL Category X [1]?

LGPL is Category X not B. [1]

Good catch. AFAIR chardet is LGPL based (not GPL), and LGPL is Cat B (not X).
@Liminal team, do you confirm LGPL license for chardet (on Pypi) ?
