Thanks, Bill.
FWIW, the journalist (Dj Walker-Morgan) contacted me today to see if we had a
statement about this.
As there's nothing publicly available to point to (heck, not even privately
from what I could tell), I reminded him that we're unable to make any
statements at this point.

While I agree that it's important to confront the current inventory, I
think that the situation at hand is as much a matter of what goes into
the incubator as what comes out.
In my limited experience, size and growth are a big barrier to

Hi...
The idea sounds good in general more specifically that should be clear
and documented on the incubator site for future incubating projects. But,
IMHO, we should categorize projects mentioned in that list from very old to
recent ones and each group of mentors get in touch with their mentor

There are two "infra"-type scripts.
One for sending reminders to TLPs and another one
to send reminders to Incubator projects.
Both are informally known as "marvin".
Not sure where the code lives.

Not silly at all! Many people are intrigued by this suave troublemaker
'marvin'.
It's the automated mailer tool which sends out the monthly reminders.

Hi...
Having automated e-mails sent as reminders is a good thing and handy
too. But, IMHO, even with having this in hand mentors *should* be following
up with their mentored projects just in case something went wrong with the
automation scripts like what happened this time, also to follow up wi

I would like to help with mentoring Droids and hopefully move it on to
graduation. There has been a lazy consensus on the Droids dev list. If
there are no objections on this list, I'll add myself to the list of
mentors early next week.

comes on the first day of the reporting month. Neither in my inbox nor
the dev-list archive.

Hello,
can OpenNLP be signed-off?
OpenNLP was hosted for some years over at SourceForge before
we moved to the Apache Incubator.
Over at SourceForge a couple of people worked on it.
Most SourceForge committers are also committers here, they
all signed an ICLA, these are:

I'm comfortable that this is safe enough copyright-wise. I would
prefer the podling community to do the checking themselves but it's
stalled until the JCR is sorted out.
