OS wasn't the right term, but you need to update mingw32-w64 to a recent
version from trunk. That requirement is not suitable for a release branch.

My ok JonY has for the patch of 4.8. It is related to a fix present upstream
in mingw-w64 about snprintf-arguments for POSIX-mode. So I don't intend to
have this patch backported
