After some difficulties I managed to install what is advertised as a
binary rpm of Eterm-0.9.1-3.
I tried a couple of other rpm's as well as the install from source from
the tarball available at www.eterm.org and the above rpm (from
rpmfind.net possibly..) is the only one that I managed

First time poster, running MDK 9.0 (patched and updated). I've
installed Enlightenment 16.5 as my primary window manager and have a few
oddities maybe someone can help me sort out.

My suggestion is to right click and select 'Special FX Settings' and
in the dialog uncheck 'Always pop up menus on screen' and you will
probably also want to uncheck 'Warp Pointer After moving menus'.
This is how I deal with that little 'feature', anyway.
