Hi.
Trying 2.6.32-rc4 on my Toshiba R200 laptop running Debian Squeeze leads
to a blank screen with a flashing cursor in the top left when X starts.
If startup in such a way that X isn't automatically started the console
is fine, but starting X manually still leads to the hang. The machine

Hi.
I've started to see "hangs" with X on an ATI RS690 with a 2.6.26 kernel.
The symptoms are that load average goes up, X stops accepting keypresses
or mouse clicks, but the cursor still moves around the screen in
response to the mouse being moved. I can't switch to a VT but can ssh in

It would be most appreciated if you would build the r300 driver too, as it would
greatly simplify installation for a lot of people.

Funny enough, two days ago, I played vegastrike for litterally _hours_
with my Radeon 9800 Pro, both patches applied, I restarted the game a
couple times and I could not get it to lockup. However, the day after, I
could not even start the game without causing a lockup. Looks like you
did something good, keep up the great work.

I was looking at the source for the radeon driver and noticed that the
depth buffer is always set to 32 bits if a 24 bpp color depth is
selected. Is this a hardware limitation, or might it be possible to
change it to 16 bpp?

hardware acceleration and I might be able to code it. Thanks for any
