Yes, but as I stated in comments #16 and #17, it much better than
nothing, as with it Nautilus in jammy become usable. Without this patch
it just crashed on any active use (more than one window and more than
one tab per window) under X11 environment.

To reproduce gnome-shell crash under Xorg:
- Start "Ubuntu on Xorg" session
- Run some apps (gnome-shell probably will not crash if no apps/windows opened)
- Try to restart gnome-shell with usual way (Alt-F2 - r - Enter, repeat if not
crashed)

Steps to reproduce:
- Install gtk 2 app which saves windows state, e.g. GIMP.
- Start GIMP. Maximize GIMP window. Close GIMP.
- Start GIMP again.
Result:

After my patch when I try to reproduce crash, nautilus says:
nautilus[19488]: gtk_stack_set_visible_child_name: assertion 'GTK_IS_STACK
(stack)' failed
But at least it not crashed and looks usable without fear about "oh, all
my file manager windows is gone".

"Can you reproduce the crash reliably? If so what are the steps?" - just
open attached test.odt and save as Word document (.docx or .doc).
LibreOffice will say it's crashed due to error and ask for document
recovery. For me it's 100% reproducible on all my laptops/PCs.
No info in logs, as LibreOff

After this update, Gnome Shell ignores /org/gnome/desktop/interface
/text-scaling-factor setting on start. Gnome Shell always starts with
scaling 1.0. When I rewrite this setting manually Gnome Shell accepts it
and scale interface correctly.
My laptop uses FHD resolution on 11" display, so I use t

It' is really fixed? Just tested on Ubuntu 20.04 RC, package gnome-
shell-extension-ubuntu-dock 67ubuntu20.04.5 and doesn't see any
difference. Badges still disappear after screen lock.
Tested with Telegram.
Thunderbird since version 68 (not sure exactly) does not use badges anymore.

Yesterday this happens again, symptoms exactly as described in Bug
Description: "When the screen is locked manually (by clicking the lock

With this update was landed in bionic, layout indicator issue arisen:
After screen unlock, layout indicator doesn't show layout letters (en, ru,
etc).

Well, from reading gnome-desktop-thumbnail-script.c I understand
thumbnailer does not have access to /usr/local, so changed
