As of 13.04, this bug no longer happens to me, thankfully.
I had forgotten I filed this bug actually, but luckily I don't have to worry
about it anymore, hopefully never again.

Unity-greeter is not using wallpap
I'm actually using one of the new default wallpapers now, so it should be
/usr/share/backgrounds.
Unity greater only displays the default wallpaper for 13.04, for whatever
reason it isn't updating to the one I've chosen.

After waking from suspend, computer asks for security key over and
over but never connects to the wireless networ

Whenever I leave my computer long enough for it to suspend for a few
hours and then return, the computer is unable to connect to any wireless
networks. It keeps prompting me to enter the already known security key,
but it never connects. It is fixable by restarting the machine
