I can reproduce it with XPS 9340, which is Intel only machine. It only

My setup is a little different so I'm struggling to reproduce exactly
the same issue.
On my machine I do see nouveau crash in the kernel if I plug in a
Thunderbolt eGPU with a monitor attached. That freezes the shell, but
may not be the same freeze as yours. I also wonder if a monitor is

On Dell Precision 5480.
Plug a thunderbolt monitor with a thunderbolt storage concatenate to it to
DUT's thunderbolt port, both thunderbolt devices are unauthorized.
The gnome-shell has no response when I click any items on it or icon in Dock.
