I am also affected by this bug on xubuntu 19.10. One thing I noticed is
that there are two xfce4-screensaver-dialog processes when waking up
from suspending by closing the lid. When waking up after suspending via
other ways there is only one such process and things work properly.

Thank you for taking the time to report this crash and helping to make
this software better. This particular crash has already been reported
and is a duplicate of bug #1857568, so is being marked as such.
@vanvugt I appreciate your help. I did removed all the extensions and
disabled the animation. However this did not helped to mitigate the
issue.
I found a tweak to mitigate the issue on bug#1866256 (@ernstp) by again
enabling the animation again which resolved the issue.

I had the time to test the latest 20.04 ISO (today), and I cannot repro
the bug so far.
Regarding the gnome-shell extensions, I cleared my ~/.local/share/gnome-
shell/extensions and rebooted.
However, i can still trigger the bug.

ok - good news - I was able to repair my 32-bit 18.04.4 install on the
*same* exact hardware and confirmed I am able to see (1) Microphone and
(2) bars moving (see screenshot)
