Title:
Right click menus open in the wrong place
I tried to move away all connections in /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/
then restart network-manager, just in case configuration somehow confused it.
Problem still happens.
Thank you for your attention.

Oops I sent "The behavior is different but satisfying."
It meant: "The behavior is different but not satisfying."
Summary: somehow NetworkManager has very well understood (as shown in
log) that vboxnet* interfaces should be ignored, but somehow it still
manages them.

I unchecked the auto-connect option on connection 'Auto SG IP auto' to
see if it changes anything.
The behavior is different but satisfying.
Again, on suspend of the host, NetworkManager disables vboxnet0.
It just does not do DHCP on it.
Again, suspending the resuming the virtual machine repairs

I tried this variant to tell NetworkManager to ignore the virtual
devices:
[keyfile]
unmanaged-devices=mac:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx
(using the real MAC address of course)
It still does not change anything.
But I noticed this in the log, which happen whether or not the
unmanaged-devices option is set:
I purged gnome-settings-daemon, which also purged gnome-control-center.
This is how I get my mouse back now:
1. Log in
2. Open terminal
3. sleep 85 && gsettings set org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.cursor active
false
4. Log out
5. Verify mouse appears now (movement on login page)

I'm running on an Intel NUC NUC5i7RYH with boot disk as SM-951 NVMe
(MZVPV512HDGL) and secondary disk Samsung Evo 850.
I fresh installed 14.04.3 LTS and experience this problem.
Solutions, such as the following, don't predictably work for me:
* exec unity-settings-daemon
* sudo gsettings set org.
Public bug reported:
I think it's a problem with the kernel not the fglrx driver. Happens
only when the system wants to upgrade to this kernel. 3.19.0-26 . Is
there a way to tell Ubuntu to skip upgrading to this kernel. It breaks
my start up every time and I have to go back to the 3.19.0-25. T
