It was not quite correct when I said that WenQuanYi Zen Hei was the
previous default font for Chinese. It was in 13.10 in case of a Chinese
locale, but that does not apply to your situation.

Erf. I forgot to install the package.

I have configured banner_message_text with gconftool-2 to a standard corporate

Still no updates? Recently there has been some activity at the freedesktop
site, a few people managed to create a working fix/workaround, but this has to
be integrated into PA offcourse.
Curiously waiting as I'd really like to use pulseaudio-raop with my
RasPi+shairport :D

same problem, same machine but have run 14.04 since it came out and have
updated 2 times per week
i tried using proprietory nvdia drivers, just ripped my screen, now
using gallium 0.4 and putting up with the sound annoyance
