Have the same black screen problem on Dell E6520 with nvidia driver (both
drivers 304 and 331), Kubuntu 14.04.
If I suspend from a KDE session the screen is black after resume. If I suspend
from the login screen the resume works.

When trying to copy data via nautilus to my 1TB WDC WD10TPVT-00U4RT1
(01.01A01) hard disk using Ubuntu 14.04 64bit data copy speeds are
limited with huge delays inbetween copies. I smart tested the disk fully
on both Ubuntu 14.04 Windows 7 and with the Western digital tool it

As a workaround I tried putting the corresponding xinput lines in
.xsessionrc (as suggested somewhere) but that does not help either.

Hi Pall,
this bug only happened once and I am unable to reproduce it. So I cannot
say if it is related. I have both gawk and mawk installed.

When graphically logging in with a new user without a home directory,
lightdm/xdg/freedesktop creates a home directory based on settings in
/etc/xdg before PAM session configs are processed. This makes
