This is still a bug. Much like Yionel I had to kill everything related
to telepathy/keyring/empathy and then when I restarted empathy it

I am confused. I used alsamixer to play with the settings for the
"Capture" item. Setting it to L 0 R 100 or L 100 R 0 gave me clearish

I've seen this on both a Dell laptop, and in virtualbox so far. Booting
up the 20130923.1 amd64 desktop image, I see multiple gray bars at the
top of the screen where you pick whether you want to go to a live
session, or install.
I'll attach a screenshot in just a moment.

I suffer from this bug for a week now. I have no idea what causes this.
I use Lubuntu 13.04. My hobe directory is mounted with NFS, but for
years, so this cannot be the sole cause.
My workaround is to remove /home/bronger/.Xauthority through
/etc/rc.local.

On the external monitor. Built-in laptop display seems to be fine.

Thank you for taking the time to report this crash and helping to make
this software better. This particular crash has already been reported
and is a duplicate of bug #1223657, so is being marked as such.
I forgot to add all I have to do on saucy to fix the problem is service
network-manager restart like Kai Mast as well. It appears to happen
every time I suspend.

Suspend/resume -> network manager broke (as expected)
