Public bug reported: Image: 20130923.1
On the amd64 install, I'm starting from the usb stick and trying to activate the screenreader when it gets to the screen to choose between live session and install. Normally there is some audio of drums that plays at this point, but I never hear it. I can normally activate the screen reader by pressing ctrl-s at this screen, and would expect to hear "welcome to orca", but that doesn't seem to do anything. After starting the live session, I still don't hear any evidence of the screen reader, but if I go out to a terminal and check ps, I see that it appears to be running. I can hear other audio just fine, for example, by doing the test sounds from the audio control.
