Yeah, /usr/lib/gnome-applets makes more sense than /usr/bin. I'll move
it there in the next release, and I'll probably change the executable's
name to rhythmbox-applet to make it more consistent with everything
else. Since it's not going to be invoked directly by the user, it
shouldn't be a probl
I already packaged it. The package is on mentors.debian.org.
I had to move rb-applet from /usr/bin to /usr/lib/gnome-applets and make
an appropriate patch for this. I think you should apply it to your
upstream source.

preliminary package I put together for 0.1.1 that you might want to base
your work on. It hasn't been tested and probably needs its dependencies
adjusted, but it's lintian- and linda-clean.
